Read MoreAt Little Acorns, we see ourselves as an extension of your family, creating a nurturing environment built on care, support and trust. As an outstanding family run nursery, this ethos has been carried through everything we do since 2004. We aim to give children the best start in life by inspiring todays little explorers to dream tomorrows big ideas.
Our Forest School is an inspirational process providing little explorers opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in nature.
Situated on over 50 acres of land, the nursery has an abundance of outdoor space which children get to enjoy on a daily basis in the sunshine including nature walks, slides, swings and sports activities.
From ducks to goats, birds, sheep, horses, and donkeys we have them all. This unique offering means children get to spend time with the animals and feed them daily.
We want children to develop their own ideas, make links between concepts and develop strategies for doing things. We nurture creative minds with resources such as milk crates, wood, fabric and tyres so children can use their creative thinking to turn an object into a space-ship and let their imaginations run wild.
We have our own vegetable garden where we teach the children how to organically grow food. All the fresh organic produce then goes straight into delicious meals created on site by our very own chef.
